The iButton Thermochron family of digital data loggers from Dallas Semiconductor / Maxim are small, rugged, and low cost temperature and humidity data loggers. Measuring just 16 mm in diameter and 5 mm thick these data loggers integrate a globally unique address, a thermometer or hygrometer, a real time clock, and enough memory to store up to 8K data points.
